John Wesley Early Life :

John Wesley was a great man of God, born in England on 17 June 1703. His father's name was Samuel Wesley and his mother's name was Susanna Wesley. The couple had 19 children. Of those 19, only 10 survived.

John Wesley Biography

John Wesley was one of them.  Once there was a terrible accident.  Wesley was also had to die in the accident.  But God had great plans for his sake.  So he saved him by his grace.  John Wesley was six years old when the fire broke out.

Wesley's father was an instructor.  Mother Susanna Wesley raised all her children in the fear of God from an early age.

Wesley attended university at the age of 15.  In his 23rd year, he completed his M.A. At the same time, he also learned Latin, Greek, Hebrew, French and other languages. His parents dedicated him to the service of God.

Wesley was of the opinion that he was holy because he personally did not commit any unholy act.  John Wesley dedicated himself to God so that he too could continue in the ministry because his father was a pastor.

Devotion thought of reading the Bible twice a day and going to the temple on Sundays.  He felt that he was holy because he did not commit any physical sins.  But pride and disbelief were nestled in him.  Wesley did not realize that these qualities in him were an obstacle to his being saved.

Salvation Experience of John Wesley

Wesley was reading a book written by a man of God.  He has since changed his mind.  But still, he didn't have a deep salvation experience.  Once John Wesley sailed for America.  A man named Peter was introduced to Wesley on the ship.  "Are you saved?"  Peter asked Wesley.  Wesley was shocked by this question.  "I have been pure since my childhood, and have also submitted to the service of God," he said.

Peter said that "we can be saved personally only by believing in Christ, but salvation does not come from leading a good life. Not knowing that Christ is the Savior of the world, but Does Jesus Christ your Savior? " He asked another question.  This question moved to Wesley so much.  "I'm going to America for service, alas!  Who can save me?  Who can deliver me from my unbelieving wicked heart?"  He regretted.  During that time he experienced deep salvation.

The real salvation he experienced was on 24 May 1738.  He set sail for America on October 18, 1735. He spends most of his time in prayer.  Moreover, God also began to bless his service.  He used to get up at four o'clock in the morning and pray.  Many turned to the Lord in repentance after hearing his speech.

John Wesley Sermons

Once he preached on the streets of London for three hours in the rain.  Even the people there listened intently to the words of God while they bathed in the rain then many repented. John Wesley emphasized repentance and forgiveness.

Some people did not like his teaching so that he was not invited to their meetings. However, he preached the gospel on horseback through the streets.  Many were repented and transformed.

England John wesly - revived england

Wesley was disciplined.  God was making his ministry flourish.  His brother Charles Wesley sang melodic songs as he taught.  Many souls were saved by the combination of the two in service.

Wesley thought, "The world is my workplace."  He traveled to many places and taught day and night. His messages were like arrows that go into the hearts of the people and caused them to be saved.

He seemed very tough but his patience, humility, helped to earn many for Christ.  He also began his service in Ireland, the United States, and Canada, where he was the founder of the Methodist Society.  He is dependent on God through prayer for any work he does.  That is why even those with hard hearts are saved.

John Wesley used to travel 20 miles a day for evangelism when he was 40 years old.  He used to preach 5000 times a year.  He used $ 30,000 from his own fund to evangelize.

He often prayed, "Lord, let me burn for you, but not rust for you, nor lead a useless life."  Even in his old age, he was ashamed of worrying that if he could not write more than 15 hours and could not make speeches more than twice, he wished to go to bed by 5.30 in the morning.

John Wesley was bedridden with a high fever while serving in Russia.  With that fever, he slept in the Lord on 2 March 1791.  By then he was 88 years old and his last words were, "God is with us."

I hope Johnwesly's life will be inspiring to all of us.
