Is it biblical for a believer to marry an unbeliever ?

Bible About marriage

Can a Believer marry an Unbeliever?

Greetings dear Brothers and sisters in Christ!

In this article let us see what does the bible say about marrying unbelievers.

For a Christian, marrying a non believer isn't an option as it is written in Second Corinthians 6:14 (KJV) tells us to not be “unequally yoked” with an unbeliever.

The imagery is of two incompatible oxen sharing an equivalent yoke. rather than working together to tug the load, they might be working against one another . While this passage doesn't specifically mention marriage, it definitely has implications for marriage.

The passage goes on to mention that there's no harmony between Christ and Belial (Satan). There are often no spiritual harmony during a marriage between a believer  and an unbeliever .

Paul goes on to remind believers that they are the dwelling place of the Holy Spirit , who inhabits their hearts at salvation (2 Corinthians 6:15-17). due to that, they're to be break away the planet within the world, but not of the planet and nowhere is that more important than in life’s most intimate relationship.

The Bible also says, “Do not be misled: ‘Bad company corrupts good character’” (1 Corinthians 15:33). Having any quite intimate relationship with an unbeliever can quickly become something that's a hindrance to your walk with Christ.

We are called to evangelize the lost, not roll in the hay with them. there's nothing wrong with building quality friendships with unbelievers, but that's as far because it should go. If you were dating an unbeliever, what would honestly be your priority, romance or winning a soul for Christ?

If you were married to an unbeliever, how would the 2 of you cultivate a spiritual intimacy in your marriage? How could a top quality marriage be built and maintained if you disagree on the foremost crucial issue within the universe.
