Sundar Singh was born on 03.09.1889 in Rampur, Punjab, and was born into a Sikh family he hated Christianity so much in his past life.  Sundar lost his mother at the age of fourteen. In anger, he burned the bible while his friends watched.

Visions of Sadhu Sundar Singh of India :

After the loss of his mother, he was in crisis in his religious beliefs, one day he made a very serious decision to commit suicide that "whosoever is the 'True God' would appear before me, or else I would commit suicide on rail track", At the last hour, his room was suddenly filled with great light and he had a vision of the Lord Jesus Christ.  He was convinced in his heart that the Lord Jesus Christ was the true God and Saviour

Sundar told his father, Sher Singh, that he would go to the missionary work of Christ. His father officially rejected him, and his brother Rajender Singh attempted to poison him. He was poisoned many times by his brother ,but God healed him, people of that area threw snakes in his house, but he was rescued by God.

At the age of 16, he took baptism in Simla, before this he stayed at the missionary home at Sabathu near Simla served the leprosy patients there.

Missionary Service of Sundar Singh :

In 1906 he started his journey as a Christian wearing a saffron turban and the saffron robe of a Sadhu, an ascetic devoted to spiritual practice. Singh propagated himself as a sadhu, albeit one within Christianity because he realized Indians could not be believed unless it was in an Indian way.

He said, "I am not worthy to follow in the steps of my Lord,"  "but, like Him, I want no home, no possessions. Like Him I will belong to the road, sharing the suffering of my people, eating with those who will give me shelter, and telling all men of the love of God.

He was called "the apostle with the bleeding feet" by the Christian believers of the north. He was arrested and stoned for his beliefs and experienced mystical encounters.

Sundhar Singh had a vision of Tibet to visit the place and to preach the gospel to the Tibetan people. The people of Tibet are strong followers of Buddhism. Preaching the gospel is forbidden in that country.  If anyone was found to have violated that rule they would be severely punished. Sundar Singh traveled to Tibet along with the Holy Scriptures in his hands and Jesus Christ in his heart.

Sadhu sundar Singh testimony

He went to preach the gospel at the age of 19 because he was so overwhelmed by the protection of the Tibetan people.  He was captured and tortured several times by the local Lama for preaching the gospel there.  To punish those who repeatedly violated the rules they were thrown into a damaged well and left to do so until they died. Sundar Singh also once faced that punishment.  His ribs were broken when he hit the bottom of the well.  He realised that there were many decaying corpses around him.  But after three days of prayer, someone miraculously lowered a rope into the well.

With the help of that cord, he somehow came out and resumed his evangelistic service.  He has ministered in Nepal, Tibet, and various parts of India.  Sadhu Sundar Singh is a good preacher who teaches the word of God with many examples and parables in a very easy way to understand.  He has authored several books that work as a scepter and rod to live a good Christian life.

Dear brother and sister are we preaching the gospel to anyone?
