Mother Hyny Biography

                Mother Hyny Biography : Today I would like to write an article about Missionary Hyny, a Finland missionary known as Mother Theresa of Machilipatnam.

            It was the November 1977  "Divisima Surge" (దివిసీమ ఉప్పెన)  that caused extensive loss of life and property on the coasts of Machilipatnam, Koduru, and Avanigadda. Then Mother Hyny sheltered many in her home and feed them for many days.

Early Life of Hyny :

            Hyny was born in Finland in 1914. When he was 12, he moved to Ola for higher education and employment. In Ola, she went to a community in town and was strengthened in the faith. As the community was a missionary community, he offered to go as a missionary because of the community's prayers. She repented at the age of 17.

            Hyny is a nurse by nature. Hyny went to a Bible college in England. At the same time, Jeevaratnam, a well-known painter, evangelist, and illustrator from Gudivada, Andhra Pradesh, went to teach at the Bible College in England. Through that servant, God placed the burden of India in her heart. Many souls are dying in India and asked if anyone would submit to missionary service. Hyny came forward then Jeevaratnam asked her to come to Andhra Pradesh.

Hyny's missionary service in India:

            Hyny arrived in India by sea on February 10,1951. She started an orphanage in an old building with 8 children in an old house. Seeing her service, the mayor of Machilipatnam donated one lakh bricks and in 1964 he sold his ancestral property and built a building.

            The number of children in the home has increased. The first poultry farm, fish pond, and dairy farm were set up in Machilipatnam for strong food for children and she bought a farm and harvested food. Hyny Education Society was founded in 1969 with 16 children. In the beginning elementary school, primary school, high school were established, 5 Homes run in the Machilipatnam.

            The Coastal Community Development Program CCDP was established in 1998. The Coastal Environment Rehabilitation Program CERP was established in 2004.

Gospel and Evangelism:

            Mother Hyny was a very active participant in evangelism, in addition to social service. Served the gospel in 1971 as the Full Gospel Churches of India. Founded the Honeyfull Gospel Bible College in 2000.

            She went to different parts of Krishna, East Godavari, and Guntur with no proper travel facilities in those days.

Hyny had passed away on May 28, 2004.

The Hyne Educational Society and the Full Gospel Church of India have been continuing to this day.

            Today's minister Perni Nani's father Krishnamurti and municipality members used to call Hyny as Mother Theresa of Machilipatnam.
