The Beginning of the Creation

Day 1

Greetings dear brothers and sisters in Christ!

 The portion of the Bible chosen to be read from the Bible is Genesis 

              The Beginning: We are not here in this Bible reading plan by chance. This universe is God’s creation. We are made in His image. We are in His plan. 

The Beginning | The Creation

            Beginning of Creation:

            The first eleven chapters of the book of Genesis are arranged as a prologue or a preface to the book. In the first part, the immense glory of God is revealed.

 The order of creation can be classified into seven parts:

They are as follows :

1. The Light:        Genesis 1: 1 to 5 

2. The water:        Genesis  1:  6 to 10

3. The Earth:         Genesis 1 : 11 - 13 

4. Sun and moon:   Genesis 1 : 14 to19. 

5. Living things:     Genesis 1 : 20 - 23

6.  Breath:               Genesis  1: 24 -31 

7.  Fullness:            Genesis  2: 1- 3.

             The works of creation can very well be seen, in the first two chapters of the book of Genesis. And both of these describe the same act of creation and their witnesses. God made the world from nothing. God did not need any matter or matter to create this world. And all these we have believed and agreed with the  Truth. 

 WORDS FOR THOUGHT.

 Genesis  1:3.  And God said  "Let there be light, and there was Light.

            As we observe diligently and intently, we understand,  when He made light, we see the inception of the light has caused deliverance,  redemption, and the needful basis for salvation. 

John 1:5 says " God is Light and in Him is no darkness  at all "

Light denotes understanding, Holiness, and righteousness,  while darkness is the cause of all sins,  evil, and folly.

 "That (He)  was the ' true  'light, that lighteth every man which cometh into the world". -*John 1:9.

But for this light,  there is no other light, for us to be saved, through the Truth. 

Once it has happened to Apostle Paul on his way to Damascus, to see this light by himself. Since then, his life was changed altogether.  ( Acts 9:3, 26:13)

    At first, when we set our faith on JESUS,  the Light of God began to shine in our hearts. Now we have fellowship with  God,  and brothers as we start to walk in the Light.  

                    Even today God pronounces  "Let there be light" in every man. 

May we receive this LIGHT and receive the glorious life.

Reflection:

            Genesis gives an account of the beginning of the universe. It goes way beyond the scientific theories of ‘how?’ and ‘when?’ It answers the questions of ‘who’ and ‘why?’ Scientific theories do not prove or disprove this explanation. Rather, they are complementary.

Reading this passage through the lens of the New Testament we see the whole Trinity involved in creation. The Holy Spirit was involved in creation (Gen1:2). It was through Jesus that creation came into being: Jesus is God’s Word and through him, the universe was created ( John 1:1–3).

In the midst of this account of the creation, there is an amazing throwaway line showing the immense power of God: ‘He also made the stars’ (Genesis 1:16). We now know there are probably between 100 and 400 billion stars in our galaxy alone, and our galaxy is but one of around 100 billion galaxies. He made them all, just like that!

The pinnacle of his creation was human beings. We all are made in the image of God ( Gen 1:27). If we want to know what God is like, it is men and women together (‘male and female’, Gen 1:27) who reflect his image.

Every human being is created in his image and should be treated with dignity, respect, and love. Your ability to communicate with God is a reflection of the fact that you are made in his image.

 God works in us, through us,, and for us as we start this new Spiritual Journey. Genesis is the Book of Origins. It is the Book of Beginnings and the Book of Creations. Adam was the first man and  Eve was the first woman in the Bible. 

Few Insights from  Genesis chapter 1. Vs 1-3 

Verse 1 ." In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth. "

This verse confirms that God existed even before the creation of the earth.

The great punch word in this chapter is God, repeated 32 times namely God created,  God, said,  God saw, God called, God made, God set, God blessed!. Only the fools doubt the existence of God.

God divided His work plan to create the earth in 2 groups of days.

1st order of 3 days: Creation of formless earth, separation of light and darkness, separation of water and sky.

2nd order of 3 days: Filling the formed,  but empty earth.

Verses 1 In the beginning God means God has existed for eternity and there is no beginning or end. 

As Revelation 22:13" I am the Alpha and the Omega, the first and the last,  the beginning and the end."

Verse 2 says that the Spirit of God was hovering over the face of the waters which our God in Trinity. God saw the darkness and started to eliminate the imperfect to most Perfect by creating light as per verse 3. If we read 2  Corinthians 4:6 it says " let the light shine out of the darkness. " When we open our hearts to God, He will make us shine amidst the dark world. 

He appointed light to be "day" and the darkness to be "night". Every 24 hours we see something of this creative act of God repeated. The sun, moon, and stars limit its depth. 

However, the day will come when darkness and night will be removed forever. God will recreate human beings to live in His and the Lamb's beautiful light with no shadow from any darkness. 

As we read the book of Genesis about the magnificent and greatness of God, shall we place our full trust on Him and obey His commands in our daily life.

I was going through the insights and everyone has ripped apart the first five chapters with beautiful insights and revelations. Thanks to all who take so much of trouble to really meditate upon the word and pen it down.

I would just end the day with some observations of the first chapter in Genesis.

📌God's Word is ultimate and authoritative.

He Spoke and it was done.

📌God's Word can give life and bring to life out of nothing. Gen1:2,21,24

The Earth was without form.

God gave shape and form to earth out of nothing.

📌God's Word can fill the void. Emptiness can be filled by God alone.

📌God's Word can remove darkness.

📌God Is the  Source Himself, He doesn't need a Source to Create anything.

📌 God created light on the first day without the Sun: GOD IS LIGHT💡

📌Sun was created on ☀️the fourth day to rule 🌜⭐the 365 days and be a source of life for mankind

📌Man is a unique creation of God because

💫God made him with His own hands from the dust of the ground.

💫He made Him in His own image.

💫God breathed into his nostrils and gave life.

Man is God-breathed and even the Living Word is God-breathed.

✨Can you imagine now how precious we are in the sight of God!!✨

How valuable we are in the sight of God, let us understand our worth, and live our life responsibly on this beautiful Earth that He has entrusted on us.

Because God gave us this life on Earth to tend it and keep it.

Genesis2:15

Then the Lord God took the man and put him in the garden of Eden to tend and keep it.
